The External Affairs Minister explained the government’s reasoning for choosing the recently inaugurated Bharat Mandapam in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, saying that it is everyone’s prerogative to feel most at home at Vigyan Bhawan or Lutyens’ Delhi. “That was their world, but this has a different government.”

“There is a distinct government, era, and way of thinking. The Prime Minister advocated treating the G20 Summit as a national endeavor. They call for a spirit of participation across India. Bharat Mandapam is also genuinely non-partisan, he continued.
