“This is a concerning new practice. Different counsels repeatedly mention the same matter, and once a judge shows any leniency, they succeed in obtaining a date. I want to make it clear that the discretion I hold as Chief Justice will not be used in your favor. My personal credibility is on the line, and I must adhere to standard rules for everyone,” the Chief Justice emphasized.
