A nine-year-old boy was killed when he was hit by a speeding motorcycle while crossing the street in Uttarakhand’s Devnagar’s Buniyadi Ward of Agastyamuni Nagar area. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing the child being thrown into the air after being hit by a motorcycle on the streets.
The child was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. His family members have filed a police report.
Pokhriyal, President of Sadanand Police Station, stated, “On Sunday around 2.30 p.m., an accident occurred in Devnagar. Devraj, a nine-year-old Raidi resident, was taken to the hospital by locals, but doctors declared him dead. His body was then taken to Rudraprayag for an autopsy.”
“The child was returning after attending a satsang in Buniyadi. He was crossing the road to pick up goods from the shop when a high-speed Apache bike coming from Agastyamuni’s side collided head-on with him. We have registered a case against the driver after the relatives of the deceased filed a police complaint,” police said.
