The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has announced that it has no plans to terminate the air-conditioned Shivshahi bus service.
Responding to criticism about the technical issues that have allegedly affected the luxury buses since their launch in 2017.
Following the clarification, MSRTC faced criticism as social media users shared pictures and videos showcasing the supposed technical problems in Shivshahi buses.
Amid rising reports of accidents and the declining condition of Shivshahi luxury buses in different parts of Maharashtra, widespread rumours about the closure of the bus services began to circulate.
A senior MSRTC official from the Pune division said, “People are spreading false information about the shutdown of Shivshahi buses due to technical problems.”This is not true. We will keep the service running, and there are no major technical issues with our buses.”
