Mumbai Police received a WhatsApp threat warning of massive bombings across the city yesterday afternoon.The threatening message claimed that explosives and “human bombs” were planted in thirty-four different vehicles.It also said that the explosions would shake Mumbai and cause widespread damage and chaos.Authorities have placed the city under high alert ahead of tomorrow’s Ganesh festival immersion celebrations.

The message warned of possible attacks during the culmination of the ten-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
It added that around 400 kilograms of RDX could cause death on a massive scale.According to the message, the explosive could allegedly kill nearly one crore innocent people instantly.The police have quickly intensified surveillance to prevent any possible attack during the ongoing religious festivities. Security officials are actively scanning areas near public gathering spots and key Ganesh pandal routes.
