At approximately 4:30 am in an industrial area, according to Yasin Tadvi, the head of the Disaster Management cell at the Thane Municipal Corporation, a chemical factory in Maharashtra’s Thane district experienced a sequence of explosions. After explosions four hours of relentless effort, the fire brigade team has successfully brought the fire under control.
The explosions were of such intensity that they were audible up to a distance of one kilometer, according to PTI, quoting Sonawane. Authorities are presently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the damage to the facility. This, in turn, caused the vehicles to catch fire. Yasin Tadvi reported one fatality and four injuries among the workers involved, with the injured individuals currently receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital.

The fire department personnel successfully rescued approximately 40 other workers.
