Khursapar village of Nagpur district declared as a ‘Complete Yoga Village’ by Centre

The central government has designated Khursapar, a village in Nagpur district, as a “Complete Yoga Village.” It is the only village from the state to have been chosen. The Centre has chosen to transform one hamlet from each state into a “Complete Yoga Village” in honour of International Yoga Day.

The Gramme Panchayat of Khursapar (Katol Taluka), which has the distinction of being a fully functional yoga village from Maharashtra, has successfully carried out numerous programmes of the Central and State Governments. As a result, the Gramme Panchayat has won numerous honours from both the Central and State Governments.

In terms of water conservation, Gramme Panchayat’s work is very impressive. The state suggested Khursapar village to the centre based on all of these efforts.I was pleased when the government notified me that the hamlet had been chosen, said Sarpanch Sudhir Gotmare. This is a fresh endeavour. A government initiative to promote yoga has been proposed. It will be carried out appropriately.

‘Sampoorna Yoga Gram’ is an initiative of the Ministry of AYUSH. It is likely that the program of Yoga Prasar will be implemented throughout the year from here.
