‘Op Sindoor’ Success: CM to Lead Tiranga Yatra in Nagpur on Sunday

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will lead the Tiranga Yatra in Nagpur on Sunday, an event organized by the BJP and expected to see participation from all party legislators.

As part of the BJP’s initiative to honour the valour of the armed forces during the recent Operation Sindoor launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, district guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule inaugurated the rally in Kamptee on Friday morning. Following the flag-off, he proceeded to attend a series of departmental meetings in Nagpur city.

Bawankule Reviews Pending Work, Pushes for Ration Cards for Nomadic Tribes; Promises Reforms in Sand Policy

During his meetings with various department heads, Bawankule took stock of pending works, status of complaints and memorandums given earlier by organizations and also directed officials on the way ahead.

One of the key initiatives being pursued by Bawankule is for nomadic tribes. Speaking to reporters in the afternoon, Bawankule said, “VJNT (Vimukta Jaati Nomadic Tribes) members travel all over Maharashtra, they do not have a permanent residence. So we will issue ration cards to them and ensure that in whichever district they are present, PDS benefits will be available to them.” Bawankule said he has spoken to finance minister Ajit Pawar about this proposal.

“I am sure Ajit dada will consider this proposal positively as it is in the interest of people,” he said.Regarding sand policy, Bawankule said, “We had promised major changes because we wanted to wipe out sand mafia.
