Zoya Khan

Delhi’s ‘Lady Don’ Nabbed With ₹1 Crore Heroin

For years, she remained untouchable, but Delhi’s ‘Lady Don’ was finally caught. Zoya Khan, wife of gangster Hashim Baba, was arrested with 270 grams of heroin. The international market value of Heroin is approximately ₹1 crore.

Zoya, 33, had been on law enforcement’s radar but always stayed ahead. She controlled her jailed husband’s criminal empire while avoiding direct links to illegal activities. Despite suspicions, police couldn’t build a solid case against her—until now.

Hashim Baba faces multiple charges, including murder, extortion, and arms smuggling. Zoya Khan is his third wife. Before marrying Baba in 2017, she was married to another man. After her divorce, she met Baba and fell in love. The two were neighbors in North East Delhi.

Underworld Dominion

After Baba’s imprisonment, Zoya took charge of the gang’s operations. Sources compare her role to Haseena Parkar, sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Like Parkar, she controlled her husband’s illegal businesses. Delhi Police Special Cell sources reveal Zoya was actively involved in extortion and drug trafficking.

Unlike a typical crime boss, Zoya crafted a glamorous image. She attended elite parties, wore luxury brands, and showcased her lifestyle on social media, where she has a large following.

Zoya frequently visited Baba in Tihar Jail. Police sources say he trained her in coded communication, advising her on managing gang finances and operations. She stayed in direct contact with his associates outside prison and other criminals.

For years, Delhi Police’s Special Cell and Crime Branch struggled to catch her. This time, however, the Special Cell succeeded. Acting on intelligence, they arrested Zoya in North East Delhi’s Welcome area. She was caught red-handed with a large heroin stash, allegedly sourced from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, for distribution.

Police suspect Zoya sheltered shooters involved in the Nadir Shah murder case. Mr. Shah, a gym owner in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash-1, was shot dead in September 2024. Last month, she was questioned at the Special Cell’s Lodhi Colony office regarding the case.

Family Background

For Zoya, crime runs in the family. Her mother was jailed in 2024 for alleged involvement in a sex trafficking ring but is currently out on bail. Her father had ties to drug supply networks.

Zoya operated from multiple locations in North East Delhi, mainly Usmanpur. She was always guarded by 4-5 armed henchmen—loyalists of her gangster husband.

North East Delhi has long been a hub for criminal gangs like Chhenu, Hashim Baba, and Nasir Pehelwan.
While these gangs initially focused on drug trafficking, violent murders escalated after 2007 due to gang rivalries.

Baba’s gang generated huge extortion profits, much of which was funneled to Zoya.

Links To Lawrence Bishnoi

Baba’s name came up in the Nadir Shah murder case last year. While in Tihar Jail, he allegedly admitted his involvement and named gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi, who operates a vast shooter network, was linked to Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder and the firing outside Salman Khan’s home.

Police say Baba and Bishnoi formed an alliance during Baba’s imprisonment in 2021.Despite being in separate jails, they stayed in touch through illegal phone lines and video calls, orchestrating crimes from behind bars.
