Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif publicly admitted again. Indian ballistic missiles hit Pakistan targets May 9-10. His army was caught off-guard. Pakistan planned to attack India at 4:30 am. This was after Fajr prayers. But India launched BrahMos missiles first. They targeted many Pakistani provinces. Rawalpindi airport was also hit.
Sharif said, “On May 9-10 night.” “We decided to respond to Indian aggression.” “Our forces were ready at 4:30 am.” This was after Fajr prayers. “To teach a lesson.” “But before that hour,” he added. “India again launched BrahMos missiles.” They hit various provinces in Pakistan. Rawalpindi airport was also targeted. Sharif made this speech in Azerbaijan.

Indian strikes were under Operation Sindoor. This targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan. It was a response to the Pahalgam attack. That April 22 attack killed 26 people. This is not Sharif’s first admission. He has admitted Operation Sindoor caused damage.
Earlier this month, Sharif confirmed Indian strikes. Ballistic missiles hit Nur Khan Airbase. Other targets inside Pakistan were hit May 10. In Islamabad, Sharif recalled a call. It was at 2:30 AM from Army Chief Munir. Munir informed him of India’s missile attacks. “One landed at Nur Khan airbase,” Sharif stated. “Some hit other areas,” he added.
Indian strikes killed about 100 terrorists. They were from JeM, LeT, and Hizbul. Missiles hit nine terror facilities. Four were in Pakistan. Five were in PoK.

Pakistan escalated, attacking Indian civilians with drones. India then hit military targets deep in Pakistan. These included radar, command centers, depots. Targets were in Rafiqui, Chaklala, and more.
On May 10, India and Pakistan agreed to cease-fire. All firing and military action stopped. Pakistan violated agreement hours later. Days after, India confirmed ongoing ceasefire with no end.
Pak “ready to talk” with India, New Delhi’s response
Earlier this week, Sharif sought talks with India. He wants solutions for “longstanding problems”. These include Kashmir, water, and trade.
However, India states talks need terror halt. “Terrorism and talks cannot go together,” Jaiswal said. He added, “Engagement must be bilateral.” Pakistan needs to hand over listed terrorists. J&K talks only if PoK vacated. Indus Water Treaty abeyance will continue. Unless Pakistan stops cross-border terror.
