Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli returned to domestic cricket following the directive. Other players such as Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shivam Dube have also featured or are set to play.

BCCI Pushes Players Toward Domestic Cricket
Earlier this year, Kohli’s Ranji Trophy return created similar excitement. However, with Kohli playing behind closed doors, Rohit enjoyed full attention in Jaipur. While Rohit dominated headlines, records fell in Ranchi during Bihar’s match against Arunachal Pradesh. Vaibhav Suryavanshi stunned everyone with a 36-ball century. He became the youngest player to score a List A hundred. Suryavanshi scored 190 before getting out, missing the world record for the fastest white-ball century by just 10 runs. His knock laid the foundation for something historic.
After Suryavanshi’s dismissal, captain Sakibul Gani took charge. He smashed a 32-ball century, the fastest in Vijay Hazare Trophy history. Ayush Loharuka also scored a hundred. Bihar finished with 574 for 6 in 50 overs. This is now the highest total ever recorded in one-day cricket. Ishan Kishan also grabbed attention with a blistering performance. He scored a 33-ball century for Jharkhand against Karnataka while batting at number six. The knock came days after he led Jharkhand to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title. With Rohit reaching his hundred and Kohli scoring a half-century, the day produced unforgettable performances and historic moments.
