‘I Made a Mistake’: Punjab Youth Warns Against ‘Donkey Route’ in Tearful Mexico Video

A video showing a Punjabi Sikh youth crying and pleading with people not to travel abroad through the illegal ‘Donkey Route’ has gone viral on social media. In the 33-second clip, the young man appears to be lying on a bed inside a room while speaking with folded hands. He claims that he is stranded in Mexico and urges others to stay away from illegal migration routes. The video reportedly surfaced on August 13. Social media posts accompanying the clip claim that several youths who travelled through the ‘Donkey Route’ are stranded in Mexico. However, these claims have not been independently verified. Punjab Youth’s Emotional Video From Mexico Goes Viral
