The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Main Answer Key 2026 for Paper 1 on February 4, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (B.E./B.Tech) can now check the provisional answer key on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. After checking the answer key, candidates can compare their responses with the official answers and estimate their probable scores. This helps students evaluate their performance and plan their next academic steps.
NTA has also uploaded the question papers along with candidates recorded responses on the official website. Students can now review their submitted answers and identify any discrepancies. If candidates notice any error or mismatch in the provisional answer key, they can raise objections through the official online process.
Objection Process and Important Deadline
NTA has opened the objection window for candidates who want to challenge the provisional answer key. Candidates can submit objections online until February 6, 2026, at 11:50 PM. To challenge any answer, candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question. NTA will review objections only after candidates complete the payment process.
According to the official notice, NTA uploaded the provisional answer keys, question papers, and recorded responses to maintain transparency in the evaluation process. Candidates should carefully review all answers before submitting objections because NTA will prepare the final answer key after reviewing the submitted challenges.
