“MNS Style”: Influencer Forced to Prostrate Before Raj Thackeray’s Photo Over Reel, Video Surfaces

A video shows Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers allegedly humiliating social media influencer Mahesh Mote over a reel that reportedly mocked party chief Raj Thackeray.

MNS workers allegedly apprehended Mote in Pune’s Katraj area after learning about his return from Kerala, where he had reportedly stayed for 15 to 20 days. The workers allegedly took him from a local park to the MNS public relations office, where they forced him to prostrate before a photograph of Raj Thackeray. They also allegedly smeared black ink on his face and made him perform sit-ups while balancing slippers on his head.

MNS Workers Force Apology Video; Leader Defends ‘MNS Style’ Action

The MNS leaders then forced Mote to record an apology video, which they later released on social media. In the footage, Mote appeared distressed, cried, and apologised to Raj Thackeray, MNS workers, and party office-bearers. With folded hands, he offered an unconditional apology and pleaded with the workers to stop harassing him. Mote acknowledged making inappropriate remarks about Raj Thackeray and Shubham Jagdale, along with other MNS representatives.

Shubham Jagdale, the MNS sub-divisional president for the Hadapsar Assembly constituency, alleged that Mote had used extremely abusive language against Raj Thackeray in a reel posted approximately 15 days earlier. Jagdale described the alleged treatment as “Mahaprasad,” a term he used for the party’s rough justice. He later called the incident “MNS style” and warned that anyone insulting Raj Thackeray would face similar consequences. Jagdale claimed that MNS workers had delivered their response in their own manner. The alleged incident has raised concerns about political intimidation, forced apologies, and the public humiliation of social media influencers. Authorities’ response and any potential legal action remain significant developments in the case.
