Puri YouTuber, Guest House Probed in Jyoti Malhotra Spy Case

Police intensified espionage link action. They are probing Odisha YouTuber Priyanka Senapati. Her connection to Jyoti Malhotra is being investigated. Jyoti was arrested for “spying” for Pakistan.

Senapati’s bank account and Malhotra contact are under review. Priyanka had clarified Jyoti was a friend. They met via YouTube. “I was unaware of serious charges.” “Had I known, I’d avoid all contact.”

Priyanka Senapati Under Police Scanner

Police are also probing their communication. Senapati’s social media accounts are under review. She and her family faced multiple interrogations. Questions covered their relationship and shared intel.

Priyanka’s father, Rajkishore Senapati, spoke to ANI. He said Priyanka met Malhotra on social media. She helped Malhotra in Puri 7-8 months ago in 2024. Senapati visited Kartarpur in Pakistan four months back. Her channel, ‘Prii_vlogs’, has 14,800 subscribers. It shows her travels across India.

The Jagannath Bhakt Niwas guest house is also being probed. Malhotra stayed there last September in Puri. The manager said she arrived September 21 with another woman. She stayed for one day. “No one came to meet her,” the manager stated. “She was often out of the room.” Puri SP Vinit Agrawal noted all information is under verification. This includes financial transactions in the spy probe.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) CID Crime Branch, Sarthak Sarangi, said that facts are being verified. “She (Ms Malhotra) also visited Chilika and Konark. She was in touch with a YouTuber from Odisha. We are verifying all the facts. We are in touch with our counterparts in Haryana regarding Jyoti Malhotra.”

Malhotra was arrested for sharing sensitive info and Pakistani contact. Police say she met Ahsan-ur-Rahim at the Pak High Commission. She traveled to Pakistan twice, sharing data. Officials stated Ahsan-ur-Rahim arranged her stay and travel. He also set up meetings with Pak agencies.

Malhotra is among 12 arrested for espionage. Investigators suspect a Pak-linked spy network in North India. Her YouTube channel, ‘Travel With Jo’, has 394,000 subscribers. It shows Pakistan visits from 2022 and 2024.
