Delhi Police Special Cell coordinated with the Anti Narcotics Cell and the Anti Auto Theft Squad for the five operations. The Delhi Police said Wednesday they seized more than 60 kg of ganja and over 100 gm of amphetamine, a highly addictive stimulant drug, during five operations conducted in the North district. The Delhi Police Special Cell carried out the operation in coordination with the Anti Narcotics Cell and the Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS).

Raja Banthia, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North, said the first operation was in the Civil Lines area. DCP Banthia said that the police apprehended three people—Vikas Kumar, Manjay Kumar, and Kushindra—with 2 kg of ganja during the raid. He also said that the police seized another 12 kg of ganja from Manjay Kumar’s flat. The interrogation of the accused led the police to a syndicate based in Odisha. The authorities seized two boxes containing 37 kg of ganja from a courier service delivery office receiving the shipment. They also conducted additional raids in Odisha.

Major Drug Seizures and Arrests in Delhi
The authorities recovered a total of 52 kg of ganja from the accused individuals and sent it to Delhi. DCP Banthia said. On March 4, the authorities conducted a raid near Majnu Ka Tila following a tip-off about a heroin supplier. DCP Banthia said that during the operation in Aruna Nagar, the police apprehended a drug peddler named Kiran Ak Boni, who possessed 121.61 gm of heroin and Rs 2,30,000 in cash, which they believed he earned from the drug trade. In another major operation out of the five, the police held a Nigerian man with more than 50 gm of amphetamine.

They identified him as Chuku Ambeka, 36, a resident of Agbalagba city in Nigeria, and apprehended him along with his scooter. During a search of the accused, the police recovered 57.16 gm of high-quality amphetamine from his possession, said DCP Banthia.
