72 Hoorain: Film strives to reach Rs 1 crore on day 2

‘Bahattar Hoorain (72 Hoorain)’ generated a lot of buzz after ‘The Kerala Story’. On July 7, the movie was eventually shown in theaters without a trailer.

’72 HOORAIN’ DAY 2 BOX OFFICE COLLECTION

The movie made about Rs 0.35 crore on its opening day. 8.98% of it was occupied in total. Movie performed a little bit better on Day 2 than it did on Day 1, if we may say so. According to early estimates, the movie brought in Rs 0.45 crore. The current total raised is Rs 0.80 crore. In the Hindi belt, the movie’s overall occupancy was 11.60%.

CBFC’S OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON ’72 HOORAIN’

Ashoke Pandit, a co-producer of the film, recently sent a video message and a lengthy letter on Instagram. Prior to the movie’s debut in July, he claimed that the board had denied the censor certificate for the trailer.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) responded by making a formal statement in which it defended its position. “Misleading reports are being circulated in some sections of media that a film and its trailer titled “Bahattar Hoorain (72 Hoorain)” have been denied certification by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC),” the note stated.

ASHOKE PANDIT’S CLAIMS AGAINST CBFC

‘Bahattar Hoorain (72 Hoorain)’ co-producer Ashoke Pandit recently posted a video message and a remark on the film board’s response to the trailer. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) refused to certify the trailer for the eagerly anticipated National Award-winning film, “72 Hoorain,” in a surprising turn of events that has shocked the film industry and sparked discussions about censorship and creative freedom.

Further adding, “The trailer carries the same essence, and content as that of the movie’s. So the rejection has come across as a huge shock to everybody. The makers of the film, state that they shall now be taking this matter to higher authorities for assistance. They will also be requesting the I&B ministry to intervene in the matter and to question the higher authorities of CBFC (sic).”
