William Walsh appointed IndiGo CEO after Elbers’ exit

IndiGo announced a major leadership change on Tuesday and named former British Airways chief William Walsh as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The airline will complete the appointment after getting regulatory approvals. Walsh will finish his tenure at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on July 31, 2026.
