A recent report has alleged that Vikram Yadav, a former officer in India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), orchestrated a plot to attack Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on American soil. The report claims Yadav provided details, including Pannun’s New York address, to a hit team. Despite repeated attempts for comment, the Ministry of External Affairs has remained silent on the matter, adding to the intrigue surrounding the alleged incident.

Key Player Named in Alleged Assassination Plot: Indictment Reveals Intricate Web
In November 2022, reports indicated that the US had foiled an assassination attempt on Pannun and warned the Indian government about its suspected involvement. India vehemently denied these allegations, asserting that any notion of involvement in Pannun’s assassination plot contradicts official government policy. However, a recent indictment in a Manhattan court has named Nikhil Gupta as a key player in the conspiracy, alleging collusion with an unnamed Indian government official, referred to as ‘CC-1’, who purportedly directed the plot from India. Gupta was allegedly recruited in May 2023 to carry out Pannun’s killing.
