A US military aircraft departed from Texas carrying 205 Indian nationals who were deported for illegal entry. Each deportee underwent verification.
In response to reports of the Trump administration deporting migrants to India via military aircraft, a US embassy spokesperson stated that the United States is strictly enforcing immigration laws and deporting illegal migrants.
A US embassy spokesperson told news agency ANI, “The United States is actively strengthening its border security, tightening immigration laws, and deporting illegal migrants. These actions send a clear message: illegal migration is not worth the risk.”
Sources informed NDTV that a US military aircraft carrying 205 Indian nationals deported for illegal entry has departed from Texas. The deportation process included verifying each individual, highlighting India’s involvement in the operation.
The first round of deportation of illegal Indian nationals has taken place amid reports that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may visit the US next week.

Indian nationals residing illegally abroad
This will be his first trip since Donald Trump began his second term as US President. Moreover, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar had earlier stated that New Delhi is open to the “legitimate return” of Indian nationals living illegally abroad, including in the US. Additionally, the Indian government is committed to facilitating the return process, provided the necessary documentation is verified.
US President Donald Trump stated that Prime Minister Modi assured him India “will do what’s right” about the return of illegal Indian immigrants. A Bloomberg report mentioned that India and the US have identified around 18,000 Indian migrants who entered the US illegally.
The Ministry of External Affairs reiterated India’s firm stance against illegal immigration, linking it to organized crime. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that India will repatriate its nationals found overstaying or residing without proper documentation abroad, provided their nationality is verified through shared documents.
