Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, died on Friday, May 13, 2022. This information has made public by the local media quoting the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.
“The Ministry of Presidential Affairs expresses its condolences to the people of the UAE. The Arab and the world on the passing of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed. Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE,” news agency WAM said in a statement.
Sheikh Khalifa served as the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi since November 3, 2004.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs has announced 40 days of mourning on the death of His Highness. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Khaleej Times reported.
During the mourning, the flag flown at half-mast and ministries, departments, federal and local institutions will stop work from today.
