Trump Warns Iran of One-Night Strike

Donald Trump warned that the United States could eliminate Iran “in one night” if it does not agree to a deal before his deadline. He focused on reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy route, and stressed uninterrupted oil flow through the Gulf while increasing pressure on Tehran.

Trump said he believes some Iranian leaders are negotiating in good faith but admitted uncertainty about the outcome. Iran rejected a temporary ceasefire proposal and demanded a permanent end to the conflict along with sanctions relief, which continues to stall negotiations and heighten tensions.

Speaking at the White House, Trump highlighted the rescue of two US crew members from a downed fighter jet in southern Iran. He praised the mission and repeated his warning that the US could strike Iran’s energy and transport infrastructure if the strait remains closed, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

Trump warns Iran over deadline

He stated that the US could cripple Iran’s infrastructure within a single night and warned that forces could destroy bridges and power plants after the deadline. He still expressed cautious optimism about talks, although officials say progress remains unlikely without a ceasefire and ongoing communication delays continue to slow diplomacy.

Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt are attempting to mediate, but slow communication with Iranian officials continues to complicate negotiations. Trump said he has a plan but chose not to disclose it, while legal experts warned that targeting civilian infrastructure could violate international law.

Trump dismissed legal concerns and said Iranians may endure hardship for freedom. He clarified that he does not aim for regime change, criticized allies like the UK and NATO for limited support, and noted that US forces have already carried out thousands of strikes, showing that the conflict continues to intensify without a clear resolution.
