Mumbai Police have been unable to trace suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma in Delhi, reports said on Friday. The team sent to serve notice to Sharma has been searching for her for the past four days. She was summoned to appear before Mumbai Police over her remarks on Prophet Muhammad. The FIR was lodged when massive protests erupted across the country after Friday prayers.
Mumbai’s Pydhonie Police had registered a case on May 29 following a complaint by Irfan Shaikh. The FIR was registered on charges of hurting religious feelings, promoting enmity, and causing public mischief.
