At least 42 people were injure in fresh clashes at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque as tensions between Palestinians and Israeli police continue during the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan.
According to the Red Crescent, none of the injuries were serious although 22 people had to be hospitalize. Following the violence which took place during the final Friday of Ramadan.
The Israeli police said in a statement that security forces were compell to enter the Al-Aqsa mosque compound. Muslim worshippers threw stones and fireworks down towards the Western. Wall – a holy site sacred to Jews that lies below Al-Aqsa.
The statement added that three people had been arrest for the violence. Among those arrest, two booked for stone-pelting and one for allegedly inciting the mob.
