Despite having USD 4.5 billion in foreign exchange reserves, double-digit inflation, and a weak currency, Pakistan’s deep state is hell-bent on inciting internal unrest in India rather than pulling itself out of the economic pit.
According to information, Rawalpindi has activated all Pakistan-based terrorist organisations in Kashmir, dramatically increased the supply of weapons via drones, sent shipments of afghan heroin to India to finance terrorism, and even funded the building of mosques and madrassas five kilometres from the India-Nepal border.
While the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir was better in 2022 with 261 fatalities (33 civilians, 30 security forces, and 198 terrorists) compared to 278 in 2021 (37 civilians, 47 SF personnel, and 194 terrorists), the Pakistani deep state is actively supporting the terror network in the UT with the assistance of high-profile Pakistani prisoners in J&K jails. Twenty of the 194 terrorists that security forces killed in 2021 were Pakistanis. In 2022, this proportion rose to 56 out of 198 terrorists killed.
The Resistance Front, Kashmir Freedom Fighters, People’s Anti-Fascist Front, JK Ghaznavi Force, ULF of J&K, Mujahideen Ghazwatul Hind, Kashmir Tigers, and Kashmir Jaanbaz Force are some of the new terrorist organisations that the Pakistani deep state has created in order to radicalise and terrorise the local population while Lashkar-e-Toiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Muja
Along from reactivating previous terrorists like Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar, Sajjad Shahid, and Bilal Beg in Pakistan to attack the Valley, Rawalpindi also provides covert support to terrorist organisations like Islamic State and Al Qaeda with a focus on Kashmir.
