Airport officials received an email on Wednesday night warning of a possible explosion at Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The threat specifically mentioned a Gulf Air flight (GF274) arriving from Bahrain.
Sources said an unknown sender emailed several official airport mail IDs, including customer support and lost-and-found departments, around 10:30 pm. The subject of the email referred to a potential blast at the airport terminals when the Manama–Hyderabad flight lands.

Threatening email received in Hyderabad; security agencies launch checks and investigation
The sender, claiming links to the Tamil Liberation Organisation (TLO), alleged that an extremist group trained individuals travelling on the flight and warned that they would trigger an explosion after its arrival. The email also contained serious accusations against certain political figures.
Following the alert, airport authorities activated the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC), which later classified the threat as “non-specific” after conducting a detailed evaluation.
As a precaution, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) increased surveillance across the airport premises. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) carried out extensive checks in check-in and arrival zones, while additional random security inspections were also implemented.
Officials have initiated an investigation to track the source of the email and identify the sender.
