On Thursday, Elon Musk praised Indian-American congressman Vivek Ramaswamy, describing him as a “highly promising contender” poised to challenge Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary.
Elon Musk commented…
In reference to Ramaswamy’s discussion with well-known journalist Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk commented on X (previously Twitter) that Ramaswamy was “a very promising candidate.”
Ramswamy, meanwhile, has been very clear about his plans for the election campaign.
He has declared that China is the “biggest threat” to the US and that, if elected, he would pursue “total de-coupling” from Beijing.
The head of the Republican Party has also stated that he intends to fully reenter Pacific commerce as well as establish commercial ties with nations like South Korea, Japan, and India.
Earlier, Ramaswamy claimed in an interview with Fox News that “China is the biggest challenge the United States faces and Xi Jinping is the dictator. I believe I am the most qualified candidate for stating a clear course toward economic independence from China. The first action in our policy would be that.
He added that he would pursue a “total de-coupling” from China and forbid the majority of US businesses from conducting business in Beijing.
“I favor complete decoupling. I would prohibit the majority of US businesses from doing business in China until and unless the CCP changes its behavior. There might be immediate repercussions, but if we know what we are sacrificing for, I believe we are capable of doing so. Additionally, in my opinion, you don’t even need to make a sacrifice when you’re ready to do so, according to Ramaswamy.
The 37-year-old legislator was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was born on August 9th, 1985. His parents moved from Kerala to the US.
