China resumes fertilizer and rare-earth supplies to India
India and China recorded positive progress as Wang Yi assured Jaishankar about resuming crucial supplies.

Jaishankar raises supply concerns with Wang Yi
External Affairs Minister Jaishankar raised urea, NPK, DAP, rare-earths, and TBM supply concerns directly.
During Wang Yi’s China visit last month, Jaishankar highlighted agricultural and infrastructure needs critically.
While raising supplies, Jaishankar avoided discussing border talks, leaving that for Ajit Doval.
Wang Yi assured cooperation and confirmed meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi later.
India reiterates unchanged stance on Taiwan
Jaishankar clarified India’s position on Taiwan remained unchanged and limited to economic-cultural engagement.
He emphasized India, like global community, maintains diplomatic presence in Taiwan without political recognition.
Wang Yi welcomed clarity, highlighting both countries’ need for stable dialogue amidst regional uncertainties.
The meeting reflected cordial atmosphere with emphasis on economic cooperation over sensitive territorial issues.
US policies influence India-China dialogue
Both ministers acknowledged US President Donald Trump’s policies created pressure on India and China.
They agreed closer dialogue was necessary to navigate uncertainty arising from Washington’s shifting stance.

Border issues to be handled by NSA Doval
Jaishankar deliberately left boundary discussions for National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s SR-level talks.
Focus will be on de-escalating forces and addressing tensions along the 3488 km LAC.
Although friction in Ladakh reduced, Indian and Chinese armies remain amassed along sensitive border areas.
