A complaint has been filed in Mumbai, Maharashtra, against popular social media personalities Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps), Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), and comedian Samay Raina for allegedly using ‘abusive language’ on the show ‘India’s Got Latent’.
The organisers of the show have also been booked along with the content creators, news agency ANI reported.
The complaint has been submitted to the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, requesting strict action against the individuals named in the letter.
The letter, referenced in the report, claimed that the remarks were made “with the intention of profiting from controversy, disregarding the harm caused to women’s dignity and the negative impact on young audiences, especially minors, who may have been exposed to these comments.”
Content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Mukhija, and ‘Beer Biceps’ podcaster appeared on an episode of Raina’s show. During the episode, Allahbadia asked a “would you rather” question about a sexual or intimate relationship between the contestant’s parents. His comments went viral on social media, drawing severe backlash from netizens.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also questioned by reporters about the podcaster’s remarks. He responded, “I have heard about it, but I haven’t seen it yet. The things said have been misrepresented. Everyone has the right to freedom of speech, but that freedom ends when it infringes upon the rights of others.”
He stated that Indian society has certain norms, and if anyone breaks them, it is deemed “completely wrong,” emphasizing that appropriate action should be taken against such individuals.

Ranveer has not done anything
Meanwhile, another user commented, “Shows like these reveal people’s true nature. Ranveer hasn’t done anything he’s uncomfortable with; it’s just that his facade has fallen, and now people can see his true self.”
An X user wrote, “This is neither comedy nor adult humor; it’s a sick perversion!”
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate also called Allahbadia’s comment “perverted.” She added, “This isn’t creativity; it’s perversion. We can’t normalize such behavior as cool. The fact that this disturbing comment received loud applause should concern us all.”
So far, neither Ranveer Allahbadia nor any other creators from the episode have commented on the controversy.
Ranveer Allahbadia, a content creator with over 5 million followers on Instagram and more than 10 million YouTube subscribers, was awarded the ‘Disruptor of the Year’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the National Creators Award held at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam last year.
