Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film, “Animal,” scheduled for release later this week, has generated substantial anticipation due to its compelling trailer and emotive music. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, “Animal” is poised to deliver a potent blend of action, emotion, and unfiltered drama. Despite soaring expectations for the movie, there has been considerable surprise regarding its runtime. The theatrical release of “Animal” is slated to run for 3 hours and 21 minutes, with reports suggesting that the OTT version may even exceed this duration.

Speaking about the lengthy runtime of the film, Ranbir Kapoor said, “The story of Animal requires this amount of time to reach the audience, we saw the first cut that was 3 hours and 49 mins and we were entertained, dont be panicked by the length & just come experience cinema at its best.”
Initially, the team planned to release the same version in theatres with two intervals as they felt the story needed that runtime and it was very engaging. However, this was a risky move and distributors wanted to play it safe so the makers edited a few scenes and made the final runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes for the theatrical version.
The extended runtime of the film on OTT is anticipated to be well-received by fans and audiences who are eager to experience the complete story. Runtime concerns are not expected to be an issue for the OTT release of “Animal.” Starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and others, the movie has generated significant excitement not only in Hindi but also in Telugu and Tamil markets, with massive openings anticipated.
