Dhurandhar Franchise Sets New Benchmark
Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to break records with each passing day. Director Aditya Dhar’s film has led the franchise to become the first Bollywood series to enter the Rs 2,000 crore club through the combined earnings of Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2.
The franchise now stands among the top film series in India. After the Baahubali and Pushpa franchises, Dhurandhar has become the third series to achieve this milestone. However, it stands out as the only franchise where both films have crossed Rs 500 crore net in a single language, establishing its strong impact on Indian cinema.
According to trade website Sacnilk, the sequel has earned Rs 919 crore worldwide and surpassed Kantara Chapter 1’s Rs 852.36 crore in total collections. The film is performing exceptionally well overseas, especially in North America, where weekday shows are running housefull. Reports also suggest that the film has set new records in the UK-Ireland circuit, including the highest single-day collection for a Hindi film on a Saturday.
