Coldplay added a third Mumbai show for their 2025 Music Of The Spheres World Tour due to high demand after fans encountered long virtual queues on BookMyShow. The platform condemned ticket scalping, distanced itself from unauthorized sellers, and confirmed a police complaint has been filed.
BookMyShow experienced technical issues due to high traffic for Coldplay’s January 2025 gigs in India, leading to limited ticket availability. The platform also noted that tickets were being resold at inflated prices on Viagogo and Gigsberg.

Scalping is strictly condemned and punishable
It stated, “Scalping is condemned and illegal in India. We have filed a police complaint and will support the investigation. Please avoid scams; tickets from unauthorized sources may be fake. Stay alert.
Following Coldplay’s India tour announcement for January 18, 19, and 21, 2025, at Mumbai’s DY Patil Sports Stadium, fans faced fierce competition for tickets, leading to server crashes and long waitlists. Even celebrities like Karan Johar struggled to get tickets.
On Tuesday, BookMyShow condemned ticket scalping, distanced itself from unauthorized sellers, and urged fans to avoid them due to risks of counterfeit tickets. The company also confirmed it has filed a police complaint and is dedicated to combating scalping.
BookMyShow stated it has no association with any ticket reselling platforms like Viagogo and Gigsberg for Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025 in India.
