Adnan Sami recently shared an incident during his visit to Baku, Azerbaijan, that revealed his longstanding views on Pakistan’s army. He mentioned that while strolling through the scenic streets of Baku, he met a group of polite young Pakistani boys.
These youngsters recognized him and approached him with admiration and a strong opinion about their homeland.

They told him, “Sir, you are very lucky. You left Pakistan at a good time. We also want to change our citizenship. We hate our army. They have destroyed our country!” In response, Adnan Sami calmly said, “I knew this long ago!” He shared this conversation on social media, hinting that he had foreseen the decline and issues caused by the army in Pakistan well before others.
Adnan Sami Condemns Pahalgam Attack, Recalls Journey From Pakistan To Indian Citizenship
Adnan Sami was born in the UK to a Pakistani father and an Indian mother. He moved to India in 2001 on a visitor visa and held dual citizenship — Pakistan and Canada. In 2016, he officially became an Indian citizen. Since then, he has openly expressed strong views on Pakistan-related matters. His recent post came after the Pahalgam massacre where 26 people were killed. The incident is considered the Valley’s worst terror attack since Pulwama in 2019. Mr Sami publicly mourned the tragedy and called it a “horrific crime against humanity.”

Adnan Sami clashed with Pakistani politician Fawad Chaudhry after the Pahalgam terror attack. India asked Pakistani nationals to leave following the attack, prompting a journalist to mention it online. Fawad Chaudhry sarcastically tweeted, “What about Adnan Sami?” Sami hit back saying, “Who’s going to tell this illiterate idiot!”
In another reply, Sami called him a “dumba**” and clarified, “My roots are from Peshawar, not Lahore.” He mocked Chaudhry for being a former minister with no correct information. In 2022, Sami said he held no hatred for Pakistan’s people, but blamed its government.
He wrote on Instagram, “I have major issues with the establishment.” Sami claimed the establishment mistreated him for years, prompting his exit from Pakistan. He added he would soon reveal the truth about their behavior toward him. Sami said the public would be shocked once the reality is exposed.
