India and the United States intensified efforts to finalize an interim trade deal during high-level discussions in New Delhi. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met United States Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer over three days. Jamieson Greer led an official US delegation during his visit to India from June 22 to June 24. He reviewed several important aspects of the India-US Trade Deal with Goyal. The discussions covered market access, digital trade, supply chain resilience, and the reduction of non-tariff barriers. Both sides also explored opportunities for cooperation in strategic sectors.
