Danish Ali Joins Congress Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections
Following his suspension from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Lok Sabha MP Danish Ali officially joined the Congress on Wednesday, just days after seeking blessings from former Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Reports suggest that the Congress is likely to nominate Ali as its candidate for the Amroha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, a seat secured from the Samajwadi Party during seat-sharing negotiations. Ali hinted at his affiliation with the Congress after meeting Sonia Gandhi, expressing gratitude for her support and highlighting her contributions to pro-poor legislation during her tenure.

Danish Ali Joins Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra
Danish Ali, having joined Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from its outset in Manipur, expressed his commitment to addressing societal injustices. He emphasized the significance of his participation, stating it as a crucial step in combating exploitation and division within the nation. Last year, the BSP suspended Ali for alleged anti-party actions, following his involvement in a protest during Lok Sabha proceedings. The suspension notice cited breaches of party guidelines and unfulfilled commitments as grounds for the action.
