Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Successfully Secured The Trust Vote

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar secured victory in the trust vote at the state Assembly, receiving support from 130 legislators. Despite the Opposition’s walkout, Kumar emerged successful in the floor test. The Bihar Assembly, consisting of 243 MLAs, witnessed this crucial event two weeks after Kumar’s transition from the Mahagathbandhan to the BJP-led NDA bloc. Additionally, three Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLAs, Prahlad Yadav, Neelam Devi, and Chetan Anand, switched allegiance to the NDA during the session.

CM Accused The RJD Of Attempting To Claim Credit For The Initiatives

Addressing the Assembly, the CM accused the RJD of attempting to claim credit for the initiatives he had implemented. He also asserted that the Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi governments had neglected Bihar’s development for 15 years.

Kumar emphasized the transformative measures introduced by his JD(U) government since assuming power in 2005, stating, “I promptly addressed what they neglected for 15 years. I dedicatedly worked for the development of every stratum of society. The law and order situation has ameliorated, enabling women to venture out late at night.

Upon their return, they merely perpetuated my policies and initiatives and are currently attempting to claim credit,” he remarked.

Conflicts In Bihar Between Hindus and Muslims Ceased Under His Leadership As The CM

Kumar asserted that the conflicts between Hindus and Muslims ceased under his leadership as the CM. “They claim to have Muslim support, but what have they achieved? Numerous clashes occurred between Hindus and Muslims during their tenure. It all came to a halt when I assumed the role,” he stated. Addressing the Assembly, the CM pointed out that RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi had a 15-year opportunity to contribute to the state “before my election in 2005.” He emphasized the noticeable difference between their governance and his.
