Raaj Kumar Anand, Delhi’s Social Welfare Minister, announced his resignation from both his ministerial position and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday, accusing the party of corruption. His departure adds to the challenges faced by the party, particularly with its convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal currently incarcerated in connection with an alleged liquor scam. Anand stated that he could not continue working within a government he perceives as corrupt and does not wish to be associated with such practices. He also criticized Kejriwal’s leadership, contrasting his earlier promises of political change with the current state of affairs.
