PhysicsWallah to Provide IIT-JEE, NEET Coaching in Varanasi

The Varanasi district administration has partnered with edtech platform PhysicsWallah to offer free IIT-JEE and NEET coaching to students from government and government-aided schools. The collaboration comes under the academic programme ‘Sankalp-30’, which aims to improve learning outcomes by strengthening academic support within the public education system.

Under this programme, authorities will select 60 students, including 30 IIT-JEE and 30 NEET aspirants. Through this initiative, the administration seeks to support students from socially and economically weaker backgrounds. As a result, deserving students will gain access to quality coaching that often remains financially out of reach.

Offline Coaching and Academic Mentorship

The programme will run in offline mode to ensure regular classroom interaction and a disciplined learning environment. PhysicsWallah’s Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will actively guide students throughout their preparation. They will follow structured teaching schedules and provide curated study material and academic direction.

Moreover, teachers will conduct regular assessments to track student progress. Based on performance, mentors will offer targeted support to address learning gaps. Consequently, students will strengthen conceptual clarity, improve time management, and adopt exam-focused strategies to compete confidently in national-level entrance examinations.

Transparent Selection and Inclusive Education

According to PhysicsWallah’s official statement, the programme will adopt a three-stage selection process to ensure fairness and merit-based selection. The process will begin with an objective examination, followed by a subjective assessment to evaluate conceptual understanding. Finally, shortlisted candidates will appear for a personal interview. Together, these stages aim to identify students who demonstrate strong academic ability, commitment, and the motivation required for rigorous entrance exam preparation.

Meanwhile, Satyendra Kumar (IAS), District Magistrate of Varanasi, praised the discipline, determination, and aspirations of students studying in government and government-aided schools. He noted that their ambitions are on par with students across the country and emphasized that the collaboration with PhysicsWallah would help extend quality academic support to deserving candidates. He further stated that the initiative seeks to strengthen merit, equity, and inclusion in education by ensuring that opportunities reach students where talent already exists, particularly among those from economically weaker sections.
