The NTA NEET-UG re-examination will be conducted from 2:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in pen-and-paper mode across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad for more than 22.79 lakh candidates.

NTA Strengthens NEET-UG Re-Exam Arrangements
More than 22.79 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the NTA NEET-UG 2026 re-examination. Eligible candidates with disabilities will receive compensatory time under existing examination guidelines. These candidates may continue writing the examination until 6:20 p.m. without difficulty. The NTA has introduced detailed arrangements to ensure fairness and equal opportunities for participants. Close coordination among different government agencies will support the successful conduct of the NTA NEET-UG re-examination. A total of 674 city coordinators will supervise activities and operations at local centres. Additionally, 6,669 observers will independently monitor examination centres and maintain transparency throughout. These measures are designed to protect the integrity, credibility, and smooth conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 examination process.
