Kannada will be taught to Malayalis at 20 new centers by Karnataka

The Karnataka government is preparing to introduce a Kannada learning program for Malayalis residing in Bengaluru. Organized by the Kannada Development Authority (KDA), the classes are expected to attract. Participants from various sections of the Malayali community.

Speaker UT Khader will inaugurate the event on Thursday. The Kannada Development Authority (KDA) will establish 20 learning centers in Bengaluru. These centers will teach Kannada to people from Kerala who have moved to Bengaluru. A significant number of Malayalis have migrated to the city for education, employment, and business opportunities. Regular sessions will commence in the second week of August, and interested individuals must register at KDA centers.

CM Siddaramaiah Encourages Learning Kannada for Karnataka Residents

Previously, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah emphasized that residents of Karnataka should learn Kannada. He described Kannadigas as “generous” and urged them to foster a Kannada-speaking environment in the state. He stated, “Kannadigas must create an atmosphere of Kannada in the state. Everyone should commit to speaking only in Kannada with those who live here. Speaking our mother tongue in our land should fill us with pride.”
