CEO Kills Her 4-Year-Old Son In Goa

A 39-year-old founder of a Bengaluru-based startup is accused of murdering her four-year-old son in Goa and then transporting his body to Karnataka, where she was apprehended. Suchana Seth, the CEO of the artificial intelligence startup Mindful AI Lab, was arrested in Chitradurga, Karnataka, on Monday, carrying her son’s body in a bag. The alleged crime took place in an apartment in Candolim, North Goa, and the motive remains unknown.

Ms. Seth had checked into Sol Banyan Grande in Candolim with her son on Saturday. On Monday, she checked out of the room alone and requested the hotel staff to arrange a taxi for her journey to Bengaluru. Despite being advised to take a flight, she insisted on using a taxi.

The hotel staff noticed the absence of her son, and after her departure, the housekeeping staff discovered bloodstains in her apartment. Upon being informed, the police contacted the taxi driver, requesting to speak with Ms. Seth. When questioned about her son, she falsely claimed he was with a friend and provided a fake address.

Subsequently, the police contacted the driver again and, speaking in Konkani to ensure Ms. Seth couldn’t comprehend, instructed him to redirect the cab to the nearest police station in Chitradurga.

Ms. Seth was apprehended by the police at the station, and her son’s lifeless body was discovered inside the bag she was carrying during her travels.
