A BJP politician and an OBC Commission member from Uttarakhand are two of the two people charge on Wednesday in connection with the alleged rape and killing of a 14-year-old girl in Haridwar.

The victim’s body was discover on the Roorkee-Haridwar route, according to the police. The victim’s mother filed a complaint alleging that her daughter had rape and killed by the spouse of the village chief, who was also a member of the state government’s OBC Commission and the Uttarakhand OBC Morcha branch of the BJP. The defendants are identified as Aditya Raj Saini and Amit Saini in the FIR. Both the state’s OBC commission and the BJP have now expelled the individual. Both individuals have charge with multiple offences under the IPC, including POCSO, gang rape, and murder.

Haridwar Police Tight-Lipped on Case, Assembling Teams for Thorough Investigation
The Haridwar Police have not disclosed any information about the case, stating only that they have formed five teams and provided SP City with “necessary instructions” “for the speedy and successful disposal of the case.”

SP City: Suspects Under Investigation, BJP Leader Expelled Pending Postmortem Results
When asked about the accused’s detention, SP City Swatantra Kumar Singh told The Indian Express that individuals listed in the case are currently suspects and that the investigation’s conclusions will determine the right course of action. Additionally, he stated that the postmortem report will confirm the cause of death.

“As per the instructions of BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt ji, Aditya Raj Saini, State Executive Member, OBC Morcha is expel from the primary membership of BJP with immediate effect,” said a letter of expulsion from the party sent out by BJP state general secretary Aditya Kothari on Wednesday.

Congress Criticizes Law-and-Order in Uttarakhand, BJP Defends Investigation Process
The state’s law and order situation had gone “off the rails,” according to Congress, which referred to the occurrence as “chilling.” According to Uttarakhand Congress main spokeswoman Garima Mehra Dasauni, “crimes against women are on the rise in Uttarakhand.”

It described the Congress’s comments as “politically coloured” and claimed that they “harm the morale of the investigating agencies.” Manveer Singh Chauhan, the state media in-charge for the BJP, stated, “All the criminal cases that have come to notice have investigate properly and without any pressure, and most of them have solve and the accuse have sent behind bars.”
