Dalit man made to lick slippers in Uttar Pradesh

A Dalit man who was allegedly beate up and forced to lick the footwear of an energy department contractor, according to the police, was detain in this Uttar Pradesh district on Sunday. They announced, “Tejbali Singh Patel has been terminate from the service.”

A video of the event went viral on social media, showing the accused slapping the complainant after shoving him to the ground and twisting one of his arms. According to authorities, Rajendra Chamar filed his complaint on July 8. “He went to his maternal uncle’s house on July 6 when the electricity went out. When Patel began yelling insults at him, he was attempting to pinpoint the problem. He forced him to lick his chappal while simultaneously hurling casteist insults. Then the locals stepped in,” a police officer added.
