Indian-American IT Couple and Twins Found Dead in California

A family of four, consisting of an Indian-American couple and their two children, was discovered deceased at their home in San Mateo, California, on February 13, according to authorities. The San Mateo Police Department reported that two members of the family succumbed to gunshot wounds, while the cause of death for the other two remains uncertain. The deceased are Anand Sujith Henry (42), his wife Alice Priyanka (40), and their twin children.

The two children were tragically discovered dead inside a bedroom, and investigators are still determining the cause of their deaths. Authorities found the male and female, who had succumbed to gunshot wounds, in a bathroom along with a 9mm pistol and a loaded magazine. The San Mateo Police reported, “We found no evidence of gas leakage or faulty appliances in the home,” dispelling initial suspicions of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Tragic Deaths of Indian-American IT Couple in California Amid Ongoing Investigations, Connections to Other Unfortunate Incidents Noted

The Indian-American couple, reportedly IT professionals, had Anand as a software engineer and Alice as a senior analyst. They relocated to San Mateo County two years ago. Media reports indicated that the Indian mission in the country had provided consular assistance to the family’s relatives in India. This incident contributes to a series of unfortunate events involving Indian students in the country. Just last week, Warren County discovered the deceased Purdue University student Sameer Kamath.

Jerami Surratt, a spokesperson for the San Mateo Police Department, stated that someone alerted them to conduct a welfare check on the family. Upon inspection, authorities found no signs of forced entry and discovered the deceased family of four inside the residence. Surratt mentioned that the investigation is ongoing, and they have not determined the cause of death yet. As the inquiry progresses, U.S. authorities expect autopsy results and forensic analysis. The police stated Detectives are actively collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses and family members, and working to establish a potential motive.
