Police Book Nine Youths for Performing Bike Stunts on Roads in Sri Sathya Sai District

Police in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Sathya Sai district booked nine youths on Sunday night for allegedly performing dangerous bike stunts on a public road during a birthday celebration. The youths gathered at Indukuru village in Mudigubba mandal to celebrate their friend’s birthday and cut a cake. However, they later took their motorcycles onto the public road and performed risky stunts. Their actions disrupted traffic and caused inconvenience to residents and commuters. Police registered a case against all nine youths under relevant legal provisions for allegedly creating a public nuisance and violating traffic rules. Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar said the police had launched a special drive against bike stunts, wheeling and illegal racing on public roads. The authorities also warned young riders against engaging in activities that could endanger other road users.

Nine Youths Face Action After Dangerous Bike Stunts During Birthday Celebration

Police identified three of the accused as Sheikh Umar Farooq, 20, Sheikh Sameer, 19, and Vakkala Gnaneshwar alias Nani, 23. According to the police, the youths violated traffic regulations while performing stunts during the birthday celebration. Their actions reportedly raised concerns among residents and commuters using the road. Following the incident, Mudigubba circle police detained the youths for questioning and registered a case against all nine. Police officials said they would investigate the circumstances surrounding the gathering and the alleged violations. Meanwhile, the authorities have intensified their monitoring of public roads to prevent dangerous riding practices. The police also urged young riders to follow traffic rules and avoid using public roads for stunts, racing or wheeling. Such activities can put both the riders and other road users at serious risk.

SP S. Satish Kumar said the police had taken the action as part of a special campaign targeting dangerous bike stunts and illegal racing. He said young riders often underestimate the risks associated with performing stunts on busy public roads. Therefore, the police have decided to take strict action against riders who endanger commuters and pedestrians. Officers also called the parents of the three identified youths to the police station. They counselled the parents and their children about road safety and responsible riding. The police explained that young riders must understand the consequences of reckless behaviour on public roads. In addition, officers warned the youths against repeating such violations. The SP said the police would continue monitoring roads and take legal action against anyone who performs dangerous stunts or engages in illegal racing.

Police Intensify Crackdown on Wheeling and Illegal Racing Across Sri Sathya Sai District

The latest case has also highlighted the police department’s growing focus on road safety in Sri Sathya Sai district. Officials said they would continue checking public roads for dangerous riding, wheeling and illegal racing. The police have also urged residents to report such activities when they notice them in their neighbourhoods. Furthermore, authorities want parents to keep track of their children’s riding habits and encourage them to follow traffic regulations. Police officials said reckless riding can cause serious accidents and put innocent commuters at risk. Consequently, officers will take action against repeat offenders and anyone who deliberately violates traffic rules. The department has also increased its focus on areas where young riders frequently gather for celebrations and other events.

The incident marks the second major bike-stunt case reported in Sri Sathya Sai district within a week. Earlier, on August 5, police arrested three youths for allegedly performing dangerous bike stunts on the Puttaparthi bypass road. The latest incident at Indukuru village has prompted police to intensify their crackdown on risky riding practices. Authorities said they would identify locations where youths frequently perform stunts, wheeling and illegal racing. They will also increase surveillance at such places to prevent further violations. Meanwhile, police have warned that repeat offenders could face stringent legal action. Officials said young riders should use designated areas for recreational activities instead of putting themselves and other road users at risk on public roads.
