In the Nadia district of West Bengal, a 14-year-old child was allegedly brutally murdered by three of his teenage friends. It is reported that the young victim was kidnapped and subsequently killed by the trio in the Ghurni locality of Krishnanagar, after they came to the realization that their demand for ransom would not be fulfilled.
The deceased was a Ghurni native. He was in the eighth grade. Online sources state that the victim went to a local store on Friday afternoon to make some purchases before being reported missing.
In exchange for a computer to play games on, the accused sought Rs 3 lakh in ransom from the victim’s family. The mother of the deceased got a ransom demand on Saturday morning, which prompted her to contact the Kotwali Police Station.

Later, after forcing him to swallow rosogulla and cold beverages, they strangled him to death. The perpetrators, who are class 10 pupils, tied the victim’s body in a sack and dumped it in a pond.

Motive behind kidnapped and murdered
It’s believed that the three realized the boy’s mother might not have the means to pay the ransom. According to a police official who a news outlet quoted, they admitted to killing the youngster and throwing his body in a pond because they were afraid of being apprehended by the authorities if they freed him.
The police have now apprehended the trio, and additional inquiries are being conducted to determine the crime’s motivation. It was discovered that they all attended the same schools and even shared a locality.

According to surrounding sources, the person’s mother works as a carer. His father passed away some time ago. The mother and son were residents at the home of their maternal uncle.
