Manipur BJP MLAs urge Centre to ban Kuki militants

In a Cabinet meeting chaired by Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, the state’s ruling alliance MLAs took a firm stance against the recent violence in Jiribam district. They passed a resolution on Monday, November 18, 2024, urging the Central government to take swift and decisive action. The MLAs demanded that Kuki militants responsible for the abduction and killing of women and children. During the November 11 violence be declared an “unlawful organization” within seven days.
