Rape allegations against Karnataka MP prajwal revanna amidst sex tapes scandal

In the ongoing sex tapes scandal, a rape case has been lodge against JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna from Karnataka. Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister and JD(S) patriarch HD Deve Gowda, is the sole accuse mention in the FIR. This marks the second case against the legislator within this scandal, with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka Police filing the latest charge.

JD(S) MP prajwal revanna faces multiple charges in rape case

Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister and JD(S) patriarch HD Deve Gowda, name as the sole accuse in the FIR. The charges against him, including rape under Section 376 of the IPC and several other offenses such as criminal intimidation, assault, and uploading of explicit content, submitted by the SIT officers to the magistrate’s court on Thursday.

Allegedly morphed videos surface amid re-election bid

The controversy surrounding Prajwal Revanna has turned into a new battleground between the BJP and the Congress, considering JD(S)’s alliance with the NDA in Karnataka. Rahul Gandhi, addressing a rally in the southern state, demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that Prajwal Revanna was involved in mass rape and the production of sex videos. On Thursday, Devaraje Gowda presented himself before the SIT, providing all digital evidence, including a pen drive. He also gave his statements to the team, disclosing how he obtained the pen drive.
