Pune BPO murder

Pune woman killed by colleague in office parking

A shocking incident in Pune, Maharashtra, where a 30-year-old man killed his 28-year-old colleague with a cleaver in an office parking lot, has gone viral on social media. The attack, which occurred on Tuesday, was witnessed by over 20 onlookers who failed to intervene during the assault, resulting in the woman’s death.

The victim, identified as Shubhada Kodare, collapsed as blood pooled around her. Despite the presence of many witnesses at the BPO where both worked, no one tried to stop the attacker until he discarded the cleaver, after which some subdued him.

The incident has sparked outrage over bystander apathy and concerns about workplace safety for women. Shubhada was reportedly targeted for refusing to repay money lent by the attacker, Krishna Satyanarayan Kanojia, allegedly under false pretenses. She succumbed to her injuries later that day at a private hospital. Kanojia has been arrested, and the investigation continues.
