12-year-old boy forced to consume pigeon droppings over minor dispute in Pune

In Katraj, a 12-year-old boy was abducted by a gang of four individuals who accused him of stealing a pigeon. They took him behind a temple and forced him to consume the pigeon’s excreta.

A 36-year-old resident of Santosh Nagar, Katraj has registered a complaint (490/23) at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against four persons. The incident took place behind a temple in Katraj on Tuesday at 6.30 pm.

According to the police, the accused had taken the pigeon. After a dispute, the four came with sharp weapons in Santosh Nagar. They displayed the weapons in the air and threatened to kill anyone who intervened. The complainant’s son (12-year-old) was assaulted and abused and was threatened that he would be killed.

They took him to Sai Apartment at Katraj and was forced to eat pigeon excreta. They warned him that if he showed their house to the police, they would not spare him. He was released near a temple. The boy informed his father about the incident.

Also, the police have registered an FIR against the four persons. API Varsha Tawde is probing the case.
